Lost Generation

The Lost Generation refers to the Terrans born during the post-Great War Reconstruction period, when the Terran species was fragmented, disorganized, in economic recession, and unable to contact Earth. The narrator of the FS2 introductory cutscene, a member of the Lost Generation himself, speaks poetically of the loneliness and nomadic search for "the salvation of our race" that his generation faces.

Bosch stated in his monologues that one of the reasons the NTF was able to succeed was because it "gave the Lost Generation something to die for".
