Christened Creousa, this asteroid is part of the mining area designated MF-R-24-67 by the Adhara Coalition, and colloquially referred to as CDE. Alongside the other asteroids in the same cluster, Doros and Enarete, it orbits the planetoid Calyce. All these celestial objects are subject to intense industrial exploitation, carried out by the Coalition itself or by private contractors operating under Coalition regulations.

As most planets and planetoids in the Serendipity campaign, Creousa is named after a celestial object from the Colony Wars series, which is a satellite orbiting the planet Midas. The other asteroids in the same area are also all named after Midas' satellites.
