This is the Shivan equivalent to the Terran Turret Weak, it does approximately half the damage of the Shivan Turret Laser which makes it not very dangerous, but it is also slightly faster, making it better at the thing ship turrets do best, kill bombs.

Likely the best blob turret in the game for point defense. The shots have a projectile speed double that of the Terran Turret and have the highest rate of fire of any blob turrets. Be sure to knock out the weapons subsystem of a ship using these as they will be very hard to destroy with bombs otherwise.
