Description:

Tech Room Description

Pressed into service just after the Capella incident, the Hedetet class destroyer is the Vasudan's answer to expendable shivan fleets. While this ship is not as graceful nor as aesthetic as the Hatshepsut, it's dual primary reactors and large weapons array more than makes up for its lack of firepower. The Hedetet was originally designed as a small drednaut, with a heavy armament but no fighterbay capabilities. Just before prouction commensed, however, Vasudan command decided that some fighter support was indeed needed on a vessel of this size. Vasudan engineers responded by slinging a fighterbay under the main guns, allowing for minimal redesign costs with maximal effectiveness. Fittingly dubbed the Hedetet for the Egyptian scorpion-goddess, this class of vessel has a lethal sting.
