GVI Ogdoad

Description:

Tech Room Description

The Ogdoad class installation is an adapted civilian design, commonly serving as the hub for the commercial and political business of smaller 'fringe' systems. Most of these installations were built for housing scientists and colonists during terraforming and thus have only minimal weaponry - instead relying on their fighters and friendly capital ships for protection. The main assets of the Ogdoad class are their four long-range sensors arrays - a precursor of the technology used in the Setekh and Charybdis classes of AWACs vessels. This makes the Ogdoad a suitable command centre for regional forces.

It's armed with Tracer missiles only. Don't fly straight for long, and there'll be no problem. Notice that one mission will require you to destroy its solar panels, but the subsystems you're looking for are called AWACS dishes.
