Decent at everything but shines in no particular role at all. Wide placement of cannons of second primary bank render Mihos at least mediocre as space superiority fighter, but capacity of both secondary banks is surprisingly high. Mihos can bring 32 Shadows to bear, so while you can hardly hit fighters with small profile like EAF Claymore with half of your primary cannons, large missile payload allows to to use your Shadows quite liberally and easily secure couple of kills. As mentioned in comment above, secondary banks are placed in even wider configuration than it's primaries rendering Mihos barely capable of using one of the most powerful missiles in [[Inferno Nostos]] - Hurricane dumbfire. The fighter is sufficient to dogfight enemy fighters and bombers at close and medium range thanks to strong shielding and powerful afterburner, but the latter runs dry very fast. Don't pick this craft for missions when you're required to travel large distances. Reverse thrust provide small but viable assitance when you have to destroy some critical subsystem of enemy capital ship. }}

Description:

INFR1 Tech Room Description

The Mihos is a strange craft in the hands of a rogue Vasudan force under the investigation of Vasudan Central Intelligence. It appears to be based on the Ulysees and is, as such, very agile in combat. The Mihos has excellent afterburner output and appears superior in most aspects to the Apis - a worrying situation for the GTVA.

Inferno Vasudan Pack Description

The Mihos is the universal light fighter of the GTVA, in use by both Terrans and Vasudans. Although the Terran version cannot carry Vasudan armaments, and vice versa, the two classes are almost indistinguishable in performance terms. Her two primary banks can be fitted with both energy and ballistic weapons, and her single secondary bank is compatible with all standard missile types. In flight the Mihos assumes the primary dogfighting role, outperforming most fightercraft with its high agility.

Inferno Nostos Description

Terran/Vasudan space superiority fighter.

A joint Triton Dynamics-Akheton endeavor, the Mihos is the primary light fighter for both Terran and Vasudan forces. High fighter and bomber losses to Mara and Dragon engagements led to the Admiralty requesting a new dedicated space superiority fighter. Triton and Akehton adapted the Ulysses design, including the distinctive bat-like profile, to incorporate modern developments in power systems and avionics.

The Mihos is available in Terran and Vasudan configurations, incorporating different firmware and minor variations in hull, but possessing identical performance. The Mihos is a nimble fighter that excels at defeating enemy fighters. However, the design has inherited many of the weaknesses of the Ulysses, including a large dorsal and ventral profile, wide separation in secondary hardpoints, and poor survivability in warship point defense envelopes.

The Mihos handles like a dream, and it's one of the very few ships that can consistently keep up with things like the Claymore or the Scorpion. It's got decent primary placement as well, but the outer and inner guns aren't very close together, so you might have to roll your ship to make sure all four shots hit the target. It's incredibly fragile, however, and that's worsened by the prevalence of capital ships--and their anti-fighter defenses--in Nostos. Each secondary bank is at one of the wing tips, which means they're very off-center from your targeting reticle. If you're using anything with a seeker head, that's not really an issue, but for dumbfire missiles (read: Hurricanes), having the fire points so off-center can be very frustrating to compensate for.

Decent at everything but shines in no particular role at all. Wide placement of cannons of second primary bank render Mihos at least mediocre as space superiority fighter, but capacity of both secondary banks is surprisingly high. Mihos can bring 32 Shadows to bear, so while you can hardly hit fighters with small profile like EAF Claymore with half of your primary cannons, large missile payload allows to to use your Shadows quite liberally and easily secure couple of kills. As mentioned in comment above, secondary banks are placed in even wider configuration than it's primaries rendering Mihos barely capable of using one of the most powerful missiles in Inferno Nostos - Hurricane dumbfire. The fighter is sufficient to dogfight enemy fighters and bombers at close and medium range thanks to strong shielding and powerful afterburner, but the latter runs dry very fast. Don't pick this craft for missions when you're required to travel large distances. Reverse thrust provide small but viable assitance when you have to destroy some critical subsystem of enemy capital ship.
