The GTF Nymph was a heavy assault fighter fielded by the Galactic Terran Alliance before the Terran-Vasudan War. By 2335, it was entirely obsolete and had been decommissioned years ago. The Nymph appears in Twist of Fate, in the hands of pirates as a hostile fighter. The Nymph appears very rarely in the Twist of Fate campaign.

Description:

Twist of Fate Chapter 1 Tech Room Description

No longer used by GTA forces, the GTF Nymph is a heavy assault fighter first employed during the Unification War. The Nymph served with distinction through the first three years of the Terran-Vasudan War until the introduction of the Thor in 2324. The Nymph was retired by 2326 and many decommissioned Nymphs were sold off. These fighters are used frequently by pirates, who value its large secondary capacity. However, the Nymph's relatively weak hull and poor speed make it inferior to modern heavy fighter designs.

The Nymph is a class D threat.

This fighter sucks. It's even slower than the Thor, is easier to kill than a Seth, and is all-around crappy. It does, however, function well as a sort of "mini bomber" with its heavy Onager rockets, which can heavily damage freighters, transports, miners, and other utility vessels. When you face it in the campaign, don't bother with any fancy tactics. Its obsolete ML-9 laser is weaker than the ML-16 (4 damage per hit instead of 5), and it cannot evade easily. In the Advanced Combat Training mission you can fly circles around them in your Apollo. Get behind one and unload your Furies for an easy kill.
