The Vela is the GTVA's largest freighter. Designed to ship a vast amount of cargo ranging from deuterium fuel to scientific equipment, its multiple-module design compartmentalises any damage taken to its large hull. It is protected by only four suppression turrets and must be guarded by fighter wings in times of war.

The Vela is without any doubt one of the largest freighter in existence, capable of resisting to moderate attacks thanks to its good looking GTVA Rapid Lasers.

You may notice the Vela's cargo shaking during a mission, or rotating along with one of the turrets. Be advised that this issue is caused by a modelling bug that has never been fixed, mostly because of the fact that the Vela will not be used by newer Inferno releases.
