Tech Room Description

The GVI Cairo is a large Vasudan installation, comparable to the Terran Arcadia installations. Though slightly smaller, it packs a much more powerful punch, with four large beam cannons and six anti-fighter beams. Its design is much more oriented to capital ship defense than bombers, which has proven a hindrance at times. But its expansive fighter bay can accommodate more than 30 fighter or bomber wings.

BWO Tech Room Description

In the Great War and the second Shivan incursion eight years ago, capital ships and bombers brought down mighty installations such as Tombaugh. The GTVA took these harsh lessons to heart and developed the Cairo from the outset to be able to hold its own against even heavy attack. The Cairo could be considered roughly equivalent to the Terran Arcadia, but possesses far superior armament. Analysts predict that an unsupported Cairo could narrowly defeat most currently serving Allied vessels, and Shivan destroyers as well. Factoring in the numerous wings of fighters and bombers contained within its bays and the Cairo is rightly seen as one of the most formidable GTVA assets, a focus of power among the stars.
