Fighter squadron: 74th Templars

Description: Stop the Vidyadhar before it approaches Beta Aquilae.

Background

Time has ran out. The Vidyadhar is en route to the Beta Aquilae jump node. The only capital asset available is the Bastion. An advanced bomber element is sortied to soften the enemy battle group and disarm the Vidyadhar.

Walkthrough

You have Alpha Wing (three Euryales) and Beta Wing for escort (default four Ereshkigals), with Mu Wing of Hathors escorted by Nu Wing of Imsets.

Close the distance with the Vidyadhar with the Overdrive system, then turn the system off before you end up in the furball or ready to start the bombing run. After dealing with the Weapons subsystem (about six Titan torpedoes and a few MPAC shots later), start de-beaming the heavy beams across the Vidyadhar. (Set Mu Wing to destroy the escorting warships, ask Alpha to destroy another escort if they don't seem to help in disarming.) Use your Smartbombs to deter hostile pursuits.

The Bastion and Khedess will provide reinforcement craft. As long as most of the heavy beams are off, the Bastion will stand a chance.
