Pre-Emptive NTF Strike (Multiplayer Mission)
Medal given: Medal of Valor.

Background
The NTF has come across the GTD Majestic taking on supplies in the Vega sector for a future offensive. Your mission is to take out the Majestic and the supply convoy before the Majestic can withdraw.
Walkthrough
This mission is about patience and control. Scanning and killing all four freighters before killing the Majestic, then making sure she doesn't escape.
To this end the best way to handle this mission is with 3 pilots (or more but these three roles a key); One Bomber. One Heavy Assault. One Interceptor.
The Bomber softens up the Majestic while the Heavy Assault strips all turrets possible (flak first).
The interceptor can do what it likes so long as it gets scans on the Freighters, but basically, this can turn out to be a full time job if the player isn't adept at dealing with the URSA guarding Freighters 2, 3 and 4. (These URSA have morning star, and are not simple 'targets').
Once the Majestic has been stripped of nearside turrets the Heavy Assault has a choice, typically I'm in this role recently, I swap from de-turreting into pure-anti-fighter, I help out the Interceptor if s/he needs it too. Trying to provide a fighter screen for the bomber(s) is impractical, just shoot everything you can as fast as you can - it'll work out better in the long run.
Bombers; do not destroy the Majestic until it's started moving after the fourth freighter dies, if you kill it too early the mission does not proceed (you finish it), and you don't get the medal.
After the Majestic is destroyed the fighter-pressure is eased significantly, only a few loki, URSA and Perseus are left. A Deimos and two Aeolus turn up, it's best to take the Aeolus out from extreme range with the two maxim'd up ships. If you are struggling for bomber respawns try to keep combat near your spawn point and clear out the fighters while disabling the capital ships so you can take them out at ease. Again, this mission is about patience, and control.
Tips
- If a freighter is left alive for some time after being scanned, make sure to take it out. Further freighters will not arrive until the previous one is destroyed and, especially if friendly AI-controlled bombers are present, you may lose the medal if the Majestic dies before the last freighter has been scanned. As such, getting the scans over and done with fairly quickly provides a degree of safety.
