SILENT THREAT: REBORN MISSION 4
Fighter squadron: 91st Phantoms
Description: Escort Iota through an asteroid field to a secret GTI rendezvous.
Background
Alpha and Beta wings are escorting two Iota freighters and the GTC Adamant to a secret supply post deep in an asteroid belt.
Notes
Another asteroid escort mission. This time you are covering 3 ships, one more than in Rebels & Renegades.
To achieve the bonus objective, scan one of the the unknown Shivan bombers (Seraphims). You only need to scan one.
You are going to want something fast for this mission. Also, the bombers are pretty slow and with the asteroids you want to destroy, the Fury may be a useful secondary.
If the Adamant's hull drops low enough, you will get Epsilon wing as reinforcements. They fly Apollos.
Walkthrough
A recommended ship is the GTF Valkyrie. Just shoot down asteroids, and destroy any Shivans you see. Keep a close eye on the Iota transports, they will get busted up by asteroids if you're not paying attention.
Developer Commentary
The original mission was not in bad shape, but at mission 8 of 12 it came far too late in the campaign where the Shivans should have been eradicated. It fits nicely here with some cleanup, and introduces the SB Seraphim for later use.

This is one of two missions in ST:R (the other being Hellfire) that is a polished version of its Silent Threat equivalent as opposed to being FREDded from a clean slate.

The GTC Adamant was called Iota 1 in the original mission. We chose the name Adamant in honor of the Aeolus of the same name in Crisis in Capella. The Aeolus-class Adamant was presumably a GTVI ship.
