TVWP Description
Designed when only the largest of ships could use any form of subspace drive, the Sagittarius (or Sagi for short) quickly established itself as the carrier class of choice. Engineered to not waste a moment on the battlefield, the Sagi's efficient design allows it to quickly pick up and drop off fighters and transports between short jumps into and out of a battle area. So effective is the Sagi that it has become the symbol of space-based military, endearing itself to its crews like no other ship.
Exile Description
Outer Rim Syndicate - Syr Darya Carrier
After the Secession War, ORS High Command requested a dedicated carrier to house short-range fighter squadrons on missions in remote sectors of Syndicate space. As a result, the Sagittarius-class carrier deployed during the Unification War was refitted with state-of-the-art weaponry, engine systems and reactive armor. From all these new modifications, the Syr Darya-class carrier was born. 34 Syr Darya carriers were constructed and played a major part in numerous engagements reinforcing ORS warships and supply convoys with fighters while they remained far away from the war zone. During the Shivan invasion, the Syndicate equipped the carriers with a pair of light rail cannons to enhance their escort capabilities and allow them to assist the refugee convoys. The few surviving Syr Darya-class carriers like the Graf Zeppelin or the Jarema became valuable assets in the Exodus Fleet due to their ability to deploy fighter squadrons where necessary without the need to risk destroyers.
Twist of Fate Description
Originally deployed by the former United States of America, the venerable Hyperion is the GTA's oldest class of ships capable of bearing fighters. Much smaller and weaker than a destroyer, a Hyperion-class vessel deploys its fighters from behind the front lines, as a Hyperion-class carrier is neither powerful nor durable. As more Orion-class destroyers are built, these vessels are steadily being deactivated. Their only real saving grace is a remarkably strong anti-fighter armament.

This ship is usually armed with tons of blob turrets. I find it quite dangerous opponent for unshielded craft. It comes with impressive armament in both Twist of Fate and Unification War, but in Exile majority of turrets got removed. Exile modpack armed this ship with pair of spinal railgun cannons, and while it has double the spinal firepower of ORC Amalthea, it's the same railgun that must appear en-masse on multi-barreled turrets to be truly effective. Syr Darya is terrible attacker, and it's even worse at defending itself against enemy fighters and bombers.
The first released version of the HTL was known from collision errors caused by infamous Collada exporter for 3DS MAX. You can distinguish buggy versions by long, dark, unnatural shadow cast on the broadsides. It got reconvered by Mjn.Mixael to adress this issue, and re-released by Nyctaeus. Nyx's version has identical turret layout as Syr Darya from Exile.
