Medal given: Distinguished Flying Cross.
Minimum difficulty for medal: Hard.
Background
As members of an NTF battle group, you encounter a Vasudan destroyer and must destroy it.
Walkthrough
The host should take an Ares or an Erinyes, if the host takes an Erinyes then s/he will be dependant on someone taking an Ares to more effectively strip turrets off the capships. The Corvette need only be stripped nearside, the Destroyer can be left only nearside stripped, but it's advantageous to remove the underside turrets too.
The host needs to suppress fighters as a main function however it's important that the flak and beams are out the way. The AI can adequately bomb this mission on their own, but it helps to have a player bomber.
At 20% the Hatsephut will launch pods from both fighter bays, these need to die for the medal. This is an endurance battle.
Tips
- Maxim, PromS/Kayser, Trebs, Tempest and Harpoons are your friends here.
