FS1 Tech Room Description

The Chronos is a freighter of civilian design. As the Terran Vasudan war dragged on, more and more of these vessels were commissioned by the GTA for use in military operations. These vessels are slow but strong.

Name origin

In Greek mythology, Chronos was the personification of time. Some Latin-derived English words contain the prefix chrono-, such as chronology and chronicle.

I've always liked these freighters, far more so than the overblown, Nimitz hauling Triton. They remind me of a semi-truck with armor and a Turret. They don't do to well in actual combat, so watch'em, they are shown in some cutscenes with two turrets, but only have one in-game.

Much better than Triton. Not only are they smaller, but they have TWICE the hitpoints!

While they are badly armed and incapable of taking care of themselves, because of their heavy armour you do not need to worry about them that much.

The Chronos is the only freighter in FS1 that REQUIRES the use of bombs to eliminate in a single pass.
