Name Origin
In Greek mythology, Orestes is the son of Clytemnestra and Agamemnon, and is the subject of many myths centered around his madness and purification as a result of him killing his mother to avenge the death of Agamemnon at her hands eight years prior. The metaphorical meaning of his name is "he who can conquer mountains".
