Very Large Green Beam is a beam used by the Terrans in the FreeSpace 2. Its longer-ranged variant is known as the LRBGreen.
The BFG 90000 also happens to be the name of the most powerful weapon in Doom.

I'm fairly sure I know what the "F" in "BFGreen" stands for, and it isn't "very." It is apparently what results when Terran beam cannons are overdriven.
Funnily enough, no ship comes standard with this weapon. All occurrences of this gun are via FRED.
