The Aesdherians are non-canon a race featured in Ancient-Shivan War Act I that was exterminated by the Ancient Empire prior to the arrival of the Shivans into Ancient space. The Ancients viewed the Aesdherians as an inferior race.
The Aesdherians were said to have developed rapidly from a primitive culture to a space-faring race. Little information is revealed about this race, but it's known that they possessed beam cannon technology and fighter shielding, unlike the Ancients. However, these technologies were underdeveloped and could be countered effectively by the technologically superior Ancients.
The Aesdherian navy was crushed in the Battle of Aesdher and the race was subsequently exterminated by the Ancient Empire.
