The Tereus isn't dangerous towards fighters, but is very dangerous to cruisers and corvettes. The best place to attack from is from behind, below the thrusters. The engine wash and turrets shouldn't bother you too much if you park there and pound away, but considering the nature of most of the INFR1 missions, there will probably be a horde of fighters to hunt you down.
Tereus by itself is perfect target if you fly a bomber. A side of this ship is in fact a single, large blind spot with no point defenses at all. Top and bottom sides are covered only by few, token defense turrets as well. Large beam emmiters are easy to hit with primary weapons, but this 'bomber pilot dream' scenario rarely happen. Nostos inherited large swarms of fighters deployed to escort Tereus units from INFR1, so expect multiple enemy wings doing whatever they can to ruin your day. Also Tereus is usually exchanging fire with other ships with her broadside and she has four beams on each side. When Tereus arrive, never position yourself between her and your capships as opening volley can easily wipe you out of existence. Avoid beam fire then keep fighter/bomber at close distance, between the beams and hammer her beams to death with sustained volleys of missiles and primaries. Keep in mind that EA capships [especially Tereus] used to do a barrel roll when they lose beams on one side to bring other, remaining ones to bear and... Ehh... Yes, you have to repeat whole thing.
