Fifty years after the first appearance of the Shivans in Ross 128 and the great war that followed, culminating in the collapse of the Earth-Delta Serpentis jump node, the GTVA has constructed a Knossos-like subspace portal in order to finally reestablish contact with Earth... if anyone is left.
Such is the backstory for 2007's Age of Aquarius, the first installment in the ongoing Blue Planet saga.
