ACT 2 MISSION 10

Description: Investigate the Tau Sigma-Phi Eridani Jump Node.

Background

Recent engagement telemetry has indicated the Shivans are suspected to be in the Phi Eridani system. Before a task force led by the GTD Valhalla can be committed to the system, a recon-in-force team led by Alpha Wing and the GVCv Andrasta will be deployed from Tau Sigma to evaluate the Shivan presence in case any deathtraps lay on the other side...

Walkthrough

A recommended craft is the Hercules Mark II rigged with a Prometheus S, Maxim Cannon, Harpoons and Tornadoes.

You only have to defend one Sobek-class corvette from waves of Manticores, Maras, Aeshmas, Nephilims, and Nahemas. There will also be two waves of Shivan capital ships in the area: one Raksasha, and a Moloch/Lilith pairing. Take down the Lilith's beams at any opportunity you get, she'll cause the most harm. Keep defending the Andrasta until the rest of the task force comes in and destroys or drives off the capital ships.

After the capital ships are gone, any Shivan light craft will escape, so you can return to base (dock with the Valhalla).

Notes

  • Before the 3.7 upgrade, docking with the Valhalla was impossible; the only way to end the mission was to jump out.
