Description:
Wings of Dawn Tech Room Description
The fightercraft designated Astray is used by the Fura'ngle elite forces. The Astray has an even more powerful shield generator than the Sweeper. Its primary armament consists of low-yield pulse cannons which favour rate of fire over accuracy or hitting power, mounted in a forward triple gun mount and on three omnidirectional turret spheres. Like the Sweeper, the Astray lacks missile banks and anti-ship weaponry and is a dedicated anti-strikecraft platform. The Astray's hull material, Gemium, appears to be a more extreme version of reflective armor, being highly resistant to energy-based weapons, but exceedingly frail to solid projectile weapons.
