Description:
Tech Room Description
The mainstay warship of the Federated Terran Commonwealth, the Tethys-class cruiser was first launched in AR77, four years before the Exarchy arrived in Commonwealth space. Despite the lack of thermal lance weaponry, shielding systems, or even artifical gravity plating standard on Alliance and Exarchy ships, the Tethys remains a powerful warship on today's battlefield due to its powerful long-range artillery railguns and NM-12 Dragonfire torpedoes. Overall, the Tethys reflects the Commonwealth Navy's strengths in one package - rugged and effective despite its simplistic construction. The Tethys design has been modified numerous times over its forty-year lifespan, most notably the inclusion of Exarchy armor technology, greatly improving its survivability.

Developer Notes
Design is primarily based off of the UEFg Narayana and the Aggressor-class destroyer from Star Wars Empire at War: Forces of Corruption.
Turret and subsystem layout is pretty much identical to that of the UEFg Narayana of which the model for the ship initially shared.
