The GTCa Hyperion appears in Twist of Fate, and is among the oldest ships in the Galactic Terran Alliance. Decades older than the GTD Orion or even the GTD Hestia, the Hyperion pre-dates the existence of destroyers. It can carry quite a few fighters, but has much weaker firepower and armor than a destroyer. The Hyperion is obsolescent and gradually being replaced by the Orion.

Description:
Tech Room Description
Originally deployed by the former United States of America, the venerable Hyperion is the GTA's oldest class of ships capable of bearing fighters. Much smaller and weaker than a destroyer, a Hyperion-class vessel deploys its fighters from behind the front lines, as a Hyperion-class carrier is neither powerful nor durable. As more Orion-class destroyers are built, these vessels are steadily being deactivated. Their only real saving grace is a remarkably strong anti-fighter armament.
