Description:
Wings of Dawn Tech Room Description
The Challenger is a 517-meter long cruiser with a 230-man crew built around a powerful forward beam cannon array, capable of knocking out smaller warships in a single shot. The only modern capital ship still mounting torpedo launchers, the Challenger mounts overwhelming forward firepower, but relies heavily on a proper fleet formation to cover its flanks from enemy warships.
The reflective armor fitted on the Challenger is effective at absorbing hits from energy-based weapons, but is considerably less durable against solid projectiles.
