Description:

Series Resurrecta Tech Room Description

An elite prototype Block III of the Athena line of light bombers was developed by Dynamic Metamer specifically for the Adharan Navy, mostly thanks to the cemented relations between this corporation and the Coalition. Christened the ACB Enyo, this unit features two additional primary weapon mounts, and an expanded secondary capacity divided between three independent fire control systems, as well as an enhanced afterburner.

Although the Athena and its derivatives seem to be in decline across Pan-Terran military forces, the Adhara Coalition strongly favors the light bomber concept over the heavy fighter, and adapts its squadrons accordingly. Although the Enyo retains all the basic features of the Athena, it's also a better overall dogfighter compatible with the majority of modern weaponry meant for that task. In the right tactical conditions, Enyo wings would be indistinguishable in terms of dogfighting capabilities from ordinary fighter wings. As of early 2342, the deployment of the Block III Athena, or Enyo, light bombers is at an early stage. Present only onboard the most important installations and warships, the replacement of Athena units with the Enyo is an ongoing process. This involves not only introducing completely new Enyo units, but also extensive retrofits of Block II Athena bombers at the Dynamic Metamer facilities in Capella to bring them up to Enyo standard.

Name Origin

Enyo is a war goddess from Greek mythology, oftentimes associated with the god Ares who fulfilled an identical role. Festivals in honor of Enyo generally also included celebrations to Athena. The Romans later identified Enyo as Bellona.

Fly it like you usually do with UEF Uriel, but without Archer cannon. Enyo inherited all pros of her parent design, expanded them, and eliminated some major flaws like low weapon compatibility. 4+2 setup of excellently positioned primary banks makes her craft of a choice for anti-subsystem strikes and capable dogfighter, but she also offers large missile capacity divided into 3 banks. Pretty OP craft on very easy, easy and medium, but higher difficulty levels will reveal that she suffers from the same issues as regular Athena, Hercules of Ares, and she's simply not maneuverable enough to catch up with nimble targets.
