Extracting Game Data
The FreeSpace Open binaries require the FreeSpace 2 data for the game to work. Currently, it is highly recommended to use Knossos.NET for the management of game data and libraries.
Knossos.NET is a launcher that helps to manage the mods and FSO releases on your system. It is open source and the source code can be found on: https://github.com/KnossosNET/Knossos.NET
