Description:

Nukemod Tech Room Description

The Phoenix Space Superiority Fighter is the product of 40 years of research into Shivan technology. The ship's engine, power grid, and shield generators operate in the same fashon that you would find in Shivan fighters. Along with shivan like speed, manuverability, and shielding, the Phoenix also supports the Hellion Laser, a retrofit of the Shivan's most powerful fighter mounted primary weapon. The downside of this is the lack of compatability with many standard Terran weapons systems. Vasudan weapons on the other hand work extremely well with the Shivan power grid.

Dimensional Eclipse Tech Room Description

Borealis Industries' BFX9-G Phoenix is the product of almost 40 years of researching into Exarchy strikecraft technology, currently serving as a prototype Advanced Space Superiority fighter for the Heaven's Alliance. The Phoenix utilises the same type of reactor, power grid, and impulse drive system as some Exarchy craft, giving it excellent acceleration, speed and maneuverability. A set of external thruster pods allows for usage of afterburners, while specialized power adapters allow standard Alliance equipment to fitted on the Phoenix. Additionally, the Phoenix has a unique shield modulation system, allowing it to modify the properties of its shield system in-flight.

Type 0: Standard : standard strength, no weaknesses
Type A: Trenton Field : improved shield strength, but shield leaks a small amount of damage through to the hull
Type B: Layered Shield : shield takes no damage from light weapons, but overall strength is decreased
Type C: Hardened Shield : shield takes a reduced amount of damage from heavy weapons, but overall strength is decreased

One of the POFs included in the Nukemod release has the ring around the ship set up to swing around as the craft maneuvers. According to table notes by Nuke, the animated version is 'unstable'.


In Dimensional Eclipse, this fighter has two main features - the ability to change its shield armor type between the four settings listed in the tech description, and near-instant acceleration to max glide (strafe) speed much like the LZF Swarmers you encounter as enemies.
