Armed Forces of the Free Worlds

Featured in the SR campaign Serendipity as the military branch of the Free Serpentian League, the Armed Forces of the Free Worlds or AFFW is a powerful entity in Pan-Terran space, and retained the gross majority of League of Defense assets present in its territory as the GTA collapsed. Despite being remarkably strong, with its forces surpassing that of any other Terran bloc in terms of pure numbers, the AFFW is apparently affected by major internal issues in the forms of small groups within its ranks acting independently from the Serpentian government, a rumor that is continuously rejected by the main FSL government itself.

Both the AFFW and the FSL have been named as a tribute to the League of Free Worlds, a major faction in the Colony Wars series.
