SSD Bhaal

The SSD Bhaal is a user-made Shivan superdestroyer with four heavy beam cannons on the front. It was one of the most important models for the now-defunct Earth Defence mod.

Earth Defence - Tech Description

The Bhaal is the greatest threat to the survival of the GTVA. It wields four massive flux cannons which can destroy one of our capital ships in a few hits. These same cannons have been seen bombarding colonized worlds. With eight full fighter squadrons and a massive array of defensive turrets, the Bhaal would be extremely difficult to destroy in a normal situation.

We have no way of knowing if there is more than one Bhaal-class destroyer. However, any that exist should be considered more dangerous than a Class A threat.

Name origin

Baal - 17th century goetic occult writings one of the seven princes of Hell. The name is drawn from the Canaanite deity Baal mentioned in the Hebrew Bible as the primary god of the Phoenicians.

Apparently, this thing is a crossover between the Lucifer and the Cain, but in fact this ship behaves like a smaller Sathanas. With four spinal LReds, the Bhaal eats destroyer-sized warships for breakfast, but its point defenses are rather weak. This ship was supposed to be a flagship of Great War-themed Shivan armada in Earth Defence, so while the Bhaal mounts a powerful anti-capital armament, she has no anti-fighter beams. 11 flak cannons cover a wide area, but the ship itself is also a very large opponent, so flak cannons are situated far from each other. Fight it like it's the smaller brother of a Sathanas... And don't gaze at its beautiful textures for too long. The Bhaal is, I dare to say, one of the sexiest fan-made Shivan capships ever released. It has a modelled fighterbay, but it's textured using stretched maps across its main hull, so it's easy to get lost inside. Don't ever try to get there, especially when the ship is maneuvering. If you are a mod designer, never order the player to do so... For obvious reasons.
