Hi Su-tehp. I notice that you've created an article of yourself in the mainspace that uses a tone of voice more commonly seen on a userpage.

All of us can create our own page on the User space (e.g. User:Su-tehp in your case), known as a userpage. The tone of writing we generally use on the userpage is less formal, often in first-person, and can even contain our subjective opinions on things (such as my explicit hatred for the GTF Horus on my own userpage).

Creating a userpage is good if you intend to work on the wiki for a long time, but want a little space off to the side (that's not part of the main articles) to write about things that might not necessarily be suitable as proper wiki articles; this includes work-in-progress stuff. Since FreeSpace Wiki uses the MediaWiki architecture seen on Wikipedia, when you view someone's userpage, including your own, the "tools" box on the sidebar will change to provide links to the user's contributions, logs, and user groups, while you'll also get a direct link to the userpage by pressing your username at the top-right corner of each page, making for a more seamless, integrated user experience. You should also be able to create your own subpages in the userspace for such purposes (e.g. User:Su-tehp/Writings).

If you think having a userpage is a good idea and don't want to spend the time and effort re-creating what you've written up so far (as well as setting up redirects and stuff), there is a simple solution: move Su-tehp to User:Su-tehp. Here's how you can do it yourself:

# Go to Special:MovePage/Su-tehp.

It's worth noting, however, that because this wiki is pretty small, there are no hard and fast rules regarding what sort of content can and cannot be on the mainspace until an administrator steps in—this means that whatever you've currently written on Su-tehp is just as valid in the FreeSpace universe as whatever the community has contributed over time to articles such as GTF Apollo. User Page?

 1. Go to Special:MovePage/Su-tehp.
 2. On the drop-down list that says "(Main)", change it to "User".
 3. Press the "Move page" button.

Feel free to keep things as they are if you prefer it that way. -- Androgeos Exeunt 03:23, 12 November 2020 (UTC)
