- For the original ship, see ITD Ryujin.
The GTD Atropos is an advanced destroyer that appears in Twist of Fate as a successor to the GTD Orion. While the Atropos cannot focus as much firepower on a single target as a beam-refit Orion, it has better point defense and is all-around a more effective warship.
The current model itself is a reworked version of the EAD Ryujin from Inferno SCP, which itself is derive from Over the Top's ITD Ryujin.

Description:
Released Version Tech Room Description
Building on lessons learned from the Hecate line of destroyers, the Atropos combines the anti-fighter capabilities of the Hecate with a more robust anti-capital armament. While not as devastatingly powerful in a broadside as the Orion, the Atropos is far more capable of defending itself. New warships like the GTD Kitchener of the Terran 4th fleet have demonstrated the strength of this design in anti-insurgency campaigns.
Twist of Fate Tech Room Description
When the Vasudans rolled out their Hatshepsut destroyers, our Orion-class destroyers were so outmatched that development of their replacement was immediately accelerated. The Atropos class of destroyers enters service in the GTA with the express purpose of one-upping the Hatshepsut. In this, it succeeds admirably. With 32 turrets, including six large beam cannons, the Atropos is stronger and more powerful than the Hatshepsut. Atropos destroyers are being rushed into service as fast as the GTA can build them, with a complete replacement of the Orion expected by 2352.

Developer's Notes
Low-poly released version is a re-turreted version of the ITD Ryujin in the OTT modeldump. Later, Woolie recieved permission to use the hi-poly EAD Ryujin made by Raven2001 for Inferno SCP, and the Hi-Poly Atropos is a re-turreted version of that. The textures are a mixture of retail tiles, and modified EA tiles from Inferno Release 1.
Name origin
Atropos was one of the Greek Fates, and was the one who decided how and when mortals would die.
