In the FreeSpace community, Silent Threat: Reborn's interpretation of the Hades Rebellion uses loosely connected campaigns to establish a universe. Although not canon, it expands upon Volition's universe. Thus, this interpretation presents an "expanded universe" similar to the universes of Cold Element, Inferno, Blue Planet, and so forth.
