Description:
FS2 Tech Room Description
The GVB Sekhmet is a Shivan design that was initially adapted to Vasudan needs by Hammer of Light engineers. The version currently in use was further modified by technicians at Mekhu Enterprises. Sporting four primary weapon banks and three missile/bomb bays, the Sekhmet packs a massive punch. Add in a top speed that surpasses that of some fighters and an ultra-dense molybdenum armor plating, and it's easy to see why the Sekhmet is the favorite bomber among Vasudan pilots.

Considered by many to be THE BEST bomber in the game, while others prefer the Terran design philosophies of the Medusa and Ursa.
I agree with the previous commentators. The Sekhmet is a capable enough dogfighter in some hands and is capable of going in unescorted if properly armed. The only major flaw (if you want to call it that) is the lack of a second primary bank, meaning that carrying disruptors or the Maxim is not the best idea you've ever had. However, the rate-of-fire advantage offsets this, givng the Sekhmet enough teeth to engage damn near anything and come out alive. The Vasudans would do quite well indeed to scrap every Osiris in existence and replace them with the equivalent tonnage of Sekhmets.
A better dogfighter then the Tauret, given its armor and maneuverability. If you want to fly something that will take down a destroyer, as well as any bombers and fighers it launches, then take a Sekhmet.
