The Sokar light cruiser is among the smallest and most common combat craft in the Vasudan fleet. Roughly comparable in size to one of our Titan class gunships, the Sokar is lighter, and more lightly armed, though the Vasudan preference for energy weapons on all their ships mean that Sokars do not suffer the same time-on-target restrictions that Titan magazines impose. Sokars are typically engaged in groups, often attacking convoys or making short, high intensity attacks against lightly defended capital ships such as Canberra class carriers. This mode of attack is facilitated by the concentration of the majority of their firepower in a single forward firing heavy laser cannon. Sokars have thin hulls, and in several previous engagements the destruction of this turret has been enough to force a tactical withdrawal by the vessel's captain.
